We are in stage......37?? of our 'process' to build our own home. We started in April..... So please pray for peace and patience for us as we take one more step.

Hey all. Sorry I haven't been able to keep up with things lately. Turns out I have good reason: my doctor says I have Graves Disease. From what I understand my thyroid thinks I have an autoimmune disease and is over active - making about 6 times the amount of stuff it should. So we are trying some medicines first to see if we can slow it down and if that doesn't work, I will have to take radioactive iodine to kill my thyroid completely. Then it is a suplemental pill for the rest of my life. Obviously I am praying the meds work. Who wants to willingly damage something that's pretty important to your body? So please pray for me. In the meantime, please use the website to share your thoughts and prayers. God Bless!

I just realized I hadn't followed up on this. Anyways, we did begin 'finishing' a house that was started and the owner needed help finishing it. We are in the process of hanging drywall at the moment. It is trying to say the least to be in limbo. (We are living in a fifth wheel in the driveway until the house is ready..) Please pray for us as we continue to spend as many daylight hours as possible working on this house. We have had bouts of stomach bugs going around and a few cuts and bruises, but no major injuries - Praise God! Thank you for your prayers.
Also, my thyroid has been responding nicely so far to the meds the dr. prescribed. I am feeling so much better, but am now in the low end of the acceptable range for T3 and T4 which is making me tired The Dr. says it is good that I keep needing to reduce the amount of the meds I am taking.
